Food Basket Ministry
The food basket ministry is a referral only program. Persons seeking assistance need to be referred by a parishioner of The Community of Saint Ann Church. Food is provided on a monthly basis except during the summer months.

Mission Statement: Saint Ann Dental Services, a program of Saint Ann Community Outreach Services of Terre Haute, which was founded in August 15, 2004, opened its doors on January 12, 2005. This outreach program services the emergency dental needs of poverty-level, uninsured persons in the Wabash Valley that otherwise have no access to emergency dental care. This dental services center primarily focuses on relieving acute pain and infection. No insured persons will be eligible for services. Current services include extractions and dental cleanings.
Application Process:
Referrals:
- All Wabash Area Agencies which serve poverty level uninsured persons are encouraged to refer clients for screening services.
- Saint Ann Medical Clinic patients who have been screened at the clinic need to be directly referred by an attending physician.
Screening:
- For initial screening, contact Jackie Hughes, Director of the Vigo County Indigent Care Program, at 812-232-1264, extension 216.
Scheduling of Appointments:
- Services are by appointment only.
- Saint Ann Dental Services is only open on Fridays from 8:00am to 5:00pm for services when volunteer licensed dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists are available.
- After appropriate screening by either Jackie Hughes or Saint Ann Medical Clinic, an appointment for services can be made by contacting Saint Ann Dental Servies at 812-232-6832 on Friday mornings.
Accomplishments 2006 (Second Year of Operation):
- The number of clients served increased by over 400%.
- Eight dentists who choose to offer monthly servies provided 67 half-days of serviecs (four hours each) during this year alone.
- Almost 500 office visits were recorded and 1778 teeth were extracted.
- Based on current rates for dental services in the area, Saint Ann Dental Services has provided approximately $500,000 in donated servies/medicines for the poverty level uninsured of our Wabash Valley Area.
